10 - 100 MΩ The EIA-96 SMD resistor code 58D stands for 392 kΩ / 1%, in words: three hundred and ninety-two Kiloohms with one percent tolerance.
SMD resistors with a 1% tolerance can be marked using EIA-96 code. The EIA-96 code always has 3 characters. First two
are digits (numbers) and the last one is a letter. The two numbers (from 01 to 96) indicate the value. The letter indicates the multiplier.
The values are from E96 series (96 values per decade). The usage of a letter prevents the confusion with 3-digit marking system.
Code "53B", for example, indicates a 3.48 kΩ resistor. The number 53 indicates the 53rd value of the E96 table (348) and B indicates
multiplication by 10. The value is then 348 x 10 = 3480 ohms or 3.48 kiloohms.
This is a simple online calculator for color band resistor marking, inductor color band marking,
ceramic, film or tantalum capacitor 3 digit marking and SMD resistor 3-digit, 4-digit, 10%, 5%, 2% and EIA-96 (E96) 1% tolerance code marking.
